a TRULLY straight ski?
anyone ever skied on a 100% straight ski? I've skied a lot of reverse camber and sidecut skis, and most combos of all that, but wondering how a 100% straight, 100% flat ski would do?
110/110/110, and flat.

I've always thought if you took a straight ski like you describe, but gradually increased the spoonage towards the top and tail, it could be kinda fun.

I thought Igneous made a ski with no sidecut about 10 years ago?

Goode made the STR8 that had zero sidecut, but it was tapered from something like 140 tip to 130 tail. Might have been rockered too.
Mount up a 1x6 and report back, oak for stiff flex, pine for soft. But don't get the lumber at Home Cheapo if you want it to be flat.

I had that same idea while I was sitting on a chairlift today. An infinity radius ski. It would be interesting. But it would be better with rocker and convex base, not flat. Also, 110 is too narrow, jong.

Altai skis, not the ones you can buy here, but the original in Central Asia.
Some pics here, check out the race event:

Fwiw, I skied a zero camber (totally flat) whitedot proto, and it was unexpectedly fine to ski.... Pretty similar to how katana and new mantra ski. Doubt that it entered production, though, and it had sidecut.

Lots of XC skis are straight, e.g., 44-44-44

This is all IMHO...
I think it would suck on anything other than untracked, consistent powder. And even there, it wouldn't be great.
Add a little early rise or rocker, and/or taper the tail a bit, and you might have something.
But on hard snow it would just be an unturnable plank. Get it up on edge, and you're carving a straight line. I suppose a skier who always skids every turn could make it work, but even then you'd be better off on something with some rocker (or sidecut).
