    Solden conditions???

    Any Euros out there?
    Heading out in a week to start a tour from Solden. Wondering what conditions/snowpack are looking like.

    You mean Sulden? the north side of the Ortler?
    we just left there- still lots of snow/ good coverage. Might have gotten a touch of new snow earlier in the week (the bernina did), but you're looking for corn. Bring sharps, as in ski crampons/ whippet, and/or boot crampons/ ice axe if you want to get up anything.

    Based on what he said earlier in the year about going to Austria he probably means Sölden. Soelden if you want to be pissy about misspelling http://www.soelden.com/panorama-cams-winter. Try asking in the snow for the euros thread is noone answers more usefully here:

    Aha that makes sense.

    Mike we are on vacation- will be back in the Teton thread where I belong by next week, but sure are enjoying the skiing and especially the food in Italy.

    Well, no. not initially. I didn't realize the longevity of the thread. But after you were so helpful as to point me in the right direction, I realized my goof.
