    MPC #120 - Journey - 4/2 - 4/16

    EDIT: Extended to the 21st

As I just completed my yearly migration to 'home' and back, I figured 'migration' would be a good theme. Then I figured it makes no sense, so thesaurus gave me 'journey' instead.

    Take it as you want.

    jour·ney [jur-nee]
    noun, plural jour·neys.
    1. a traveling from one place to another, usually taking a rather long time; trip: a six-day journey across the desert.
    2. a distance, course, or area traveled or suitable for traveling: a desert journey.
    3. a period of travel: a week's journey.
    4. passage or progress from one stage to another: the journey to success.

    RULES:
    1. Photos must be taken within the time period of the contest.
    2. You may submit 3 photos during the competition.
    3. The contest moderator will choose 5 photos to be voted on.
    4. The winner will get a happy feeling in his/her pants. (That is a rule by the way, not an option.)
    5. In the event of a tie, the contest moderator will have the deciding vote.
    6. Winner will be the contest starter/moderator for the next comp.
    7. The winner has 3 days to start a new contest or 2nd place becomes the new winner.

Any journey around the back roads here in New England is a mess of mud and water this time of year. The folks on the right side of the picture don't have to worry about that anymore. They have completed their respective journeys.

Aim for the chopping block. If you aim for the wood, you will have nothing. Aim past the wood, aim through the wood.

Nearing the end of a trans-Atlantic journey on an Airbus A380.

This Emirates Airbus A380 jumbo jet photo-bombed my picture of the moon and cemetery marker. Here's a close-up of the big bastard (not an entry in the MPC).

If it's cool with everyone, I'm extending this until monday the 21st. It's pretty much easter weekend for everyone, and I don't expect people to be on here. So shoot away and we'll close the MPC on Monday.

This has been my journey for the past year and most recently this week. One HELL of a journey for my son. One of the most surreal experiences I have ever gone through following him in bed restraints under guard and nursing staff into the basement of the most fucked up places in the world. Sorry, but I laughed... (

Sounds pretty intense, and wish your son well.

Some great shots, too, but especially love Lonnie's.

Don't be sorry ! It's meant to be a bit light hearted. If anyone has any tangible connection to Bi Polar, they usually do have a chuckle, but holy shite! , there's not a lot of fun going on in those brains some times. I have a whole new appreciation for those, traffic slow today due to a "police incident" traffic updates.. Thanks for the vibes!!
