SPAM for a good cause - win fishing trips and stuff
A southern gentleman and his lady have been trying to adopt a child but the high cost has been a barrier. A fund has been set up to accept donations. If you donate, you can choose to be entered into drawings for some pretty sweet prizes that have been donated to the cause. The donations are $10 or $20 (or more if you'd like) for a chance to win guided trips all over the place, fishing gear, and a bunch of other cool fishing related stuff. It's cheap to enter, and it's a damn good cause, even if you've never met the hopeful couple.
Donate as much money as you like, help some nice folks fulfill their dreams, give a baby a home, and maybe win some stuff.
But it's not really about winning stuff.
It's really easy to donate. They will take paypal and it takes about 2 minutes.
Here is a link to the fundraiser site: http://www.youcaring.com/clarkadoptionfund But before you click on that, read below.
This is taken from the thread on the Drake.

Gentlemen, it is time to begin the Jerms Adoption Fundraiser. Please help our friend Jerms and his wife complete their family by participating in this fundraising drive to offset the high cost of adoption. As a thank you for participating, a number of friends and fellow Drakians have pitched in a huge pile of gifts. Donating will allow you to participate in the drawings. The prizes will be organized into Groups and a suggested donation will be set for each Group.
To participate, please read all of the instructions and review the trips. Next, decide which Group(s) you would like to participate in and decide how many times you would like to enter. Then, visit http://www.youcaring.com/clarkadoptionfund and select GIVE NOW. Enter the amount you wish to donate. At the next window please enter your name or userid, your email, and let us know which Trip(s) you have selected, the total number of entries per Group and the total amount you donated. Something like this:
I will print out a card with your name and email address for each entry and put each one into its Group jar for drawing day. Jerms’ wife will draw the names on May 29th and we will contact you via email to let you know you’ve won and also publish a list of winners somewhere. If I can get it to work we will also live stream the drawings so you can all watch.
Please, enter as many times as you would like. Please tell all of your friends. Thank you for participating.
There will be more Groups added to the fundraiser in the next few days.
This is the prize drawing for the guided trips. There are two Groups of trips, Trip Group A and Trip Group B . There will be one winner for each trip. EACH ENTRY IS FOR ONE INDIVIDUAL TRIP also available are Goods Group and Fly& Boxes Group. 1 going fishing trip
Olympic Peninsula & the PNW with root wad
Seattle Washington USA
Available to those who might get the urge, one going fishing trip on the Olympic Peninsula. The quarry shall be wild winter steelhead. The weak of spirit need not apply. The duration is negotiable. Timing should coincide with the height of the run which is typically Feb through mid-April. Each year varies with weather, river conditions and run strength. It is a volatile environment that produces these majestic fish. I don't do this for a living any longer so I can be flexible. Included in the adventure is a companion who knows when to be where, lodging in a riverside Airstream (may have Mitch cooties), meals, use of a WaterMaster Kodiak for float trips if appropriate, spey casting guidance if you wish, all equipment, flies and medicinal prerequisites. Participant is responsible for travel, licenses, waders and rain gear in the unlikely event we get a sprinkle. You may never take it off. Weather stabilizes as the season progresses. Also required is a proper steelhead attitude. One must indeed cherish the process. You also get to do the dishes. Aggers did.
Full disclosure edit: No beads, bobbers or Huevos will be injured during the course of this quest.
