Inbounds in the American sense, where all terrain within resort boundaries is considered controlled for avalanches? Or is this like most European resorts, where only marked pistes can be considered "safe"--and if so did the avalanche occur on a marked piste? If the news stories are correct (big if) and if I am reading the resort map correctly (another big if) the skiers were on a named moderate difficulty piste.

It was a groomer that traverses a steeper slope. Looked like a slab from above, maybe class 2 that was in the process of slowing down/settling when it's debris bowled over half a dozen skiers on the cat track. Bush league
