    clicking noise after ACL surgery?

Hi all --- had my ACL replacement surgery almost three weeks ago. Did the patellar autograft. Started PT last week and progressing slowly. I was just instructed to get rid of the brace and start working on my gait. It's been a rough ride. My knee is terribly tight when I bend it while walking, and almost feels like it will hyperextend when i place my foot down with the forward step. also, i've been getting this frequent clicking sensation, almost like knuckles cracking, while I walk. it doesn't hurt necessarily, but certainly doesn't feel great. is all of this normal? should i be worried?

    thanks!

Did you have meniscus or cartilage damage? That could be the cracking...pretty standard after knee injuries.

Or if on outside, it could be you IT band snapping a bit.
60% of the time, it works every time.

there was some minor meniscus damage, but doc didn't touch it. said it was stable. it was a straight ACL replacement.
