Maui in April

How are Hawaiian conditions in April?

Usually I try to get to Indonesia for the spring and love it. This year the girlfriend is pushing for Maui or one of the other islands. I'm contemplating it as we could rent a place for the month and I can bring my bike to get some good training time in. But April is shoulder season in Hawaii, correct? Inconsistent swells or still fun?

I'm still pushing for Indo as I really want to get back to the Mentawais or give the Banyaks a try.

I lived in maui for one year years ago,,, you should be able to find surf that time of year... if there isn't surf on the north shore try the south shore, if nothing there head up the coast and try the west side....or try something new,,, like arungan bay in sri lanka,, the Maldives start goin off in april... or catch the last of summer in Uruguay... lots of options that time of year... or if in indo head to Lombok.
