    Another Wolf Creek patroller passes...

    Our thoughts and prayers go out to the family of the deceased…it's been a tough couple of years for Wolf Creek patrollers.

    Varying reports from local LEO regarding the slide…I'm sure more details will come to light as the investigation moves on.

    CAIC reported the slide occurred near Conejos Peak, in the South San Juans. How the heck they got that far back into the backcountry is beyond me. Even getting a snowmobile into that area would be intense, as I have been there many times (during non-snow activities).

    probably old news by now, but . . . .
    i heard heli accessed back there. just stomach punch sad when i heard. i don't know many well, but the whole crew is so skilled and still down-to-earth kind to my kids every day we are up there. been thinking about it a lot.
