Blue Jasmine is both hilarious and, sad as hell.
Awright, I finally saw "Blue Jasmine" the other night. First off, Blanchet was awesome. Just an incredible portrayal.

I liked the movie... Love how it was structured, loved pretty much every performance... But I found the comedic parts completely discordant with the rest of the film. For instance, there was on part where Blanchet was having a breakdown and Woody's typical lilting dixieland jazz kicks in... Which I found completely jarring and out of context. Was this supposed to lighten things? Was her breakdown supposed to be funny, and I somehow missed the funny part? The comedy just seemed to get in the way for me; I wish he would have played it more as a straight tragedy/drama.
