Photo TR: Monarch Over-Delivers Yet Again: 1.11.14

A morning report of 5.5" somehow turned into 15-20", with even more on the east-facing slopes of Mirkwood. Here's a summary of my day in so many pictures (Powtron in yellow, non-mag Mark in the Hawaiian jacket):

Heading back to Mirkwood for another lap:

I'll trade you a day at Kirkwood for a day at Monarch...

I'm so jealous of what you Colorado people are getting right now!

Yep, new camera... Got it three days ago, actually. Yesterday was my first day taking "real" pictures, not counting the ones of my dogs in the backyard.

With the snow today, I bet Mirkwood is still really good. That last shot was taken around 2:30 and there was barely a track to be seen.

Benny, all of them were in-bounds. 2/3 were from the Mirkwood area, which requires a ~20 minute hike.

All inbounds, yep. Here is another pic, albeit a crappy cell one, that shows the area we were in most of the day...and as Steve said, no tracks at 2:00pm. It's ok though, Monarch sucks and people shouldn't go there.

Was the cat running? How much do they charge for that these days?
