    Las Vegas New Year's

I know its early, but anyone else going to be there? Will probably ski a day or two in CO on the way down, and hit up UT on the way back.

I'll be there with a group of seventeen. No skiing, lots of drinking, lots of hitting on women who are drinking, little sleeping, lots of poker playing (winning), lots of blackjack playing (prolly losing), lots of slurred pick-up lines, etc., etc.

HHEEEYY!, That's exactly what I'm going to be doing word for word. We're staying at the Luxor, so I'll hop the tram over to Mandalay. They have one of the better poker rooms, plus, its close.

I'm planning on hitting it up for New Year's!

Drive from Hell A or are there cheap flights still around?

Pu, tickets were around $400, but I'm not sure what they would be from LA. Perhaps a mini-summit could be in the works? We could all meet a table and take eachothers money for a few hours.

SuPu, Southwest is $90 each way right now out of LAX. Not bad. Much better than I thought.

Mini-summit, maybe. Take your money, yes. Take my money, no.

The only place I've played poker in Vegas is at that crappy-ass "room" at Treasure Island. Last time I was there (on a weekend), table limits at the Bellagio started at $5-$10, and I ain't got no $500 to be playin' with. I'm coming in on the 30th, so I may have to hit up Binion's before the celebration starts.

Dont' play much cards in Vegas eh? If you are looking for lower limits I suggest Excalibur. They have a pretty good poker room. Also, Mandalay Bay runs daily $25 buy-in tourny's that are pretty fun and cheap to play. Binion's is kinda iffy. Pros will go after your dead money there, but it depends on your table. So many people go there just to say that they played at Binion's. Stay away from the Mirage if you don't know what you are doing. Its sharky central there. I've haven't played at the Riv yet, but I here they have some good low limit games. Warning though, I'm on a hot streak, I placed 3rd out of 3500 and 7th out of 550 in the last two tourny's I've played in.
