Story behind the Asian-influenced graphic designs in Völkl´s freeride line-up
Hi,
Hopefully nobody finds this offensive or it´s not completely in the wrong forum.
I recently interviewed a guy called Patrick Bonato, who was mainly responsible for doing the graphic designs for Völkl skis like the Gotama, Katana, Kendo, Sumo, Chopstick and Mantra during the early 2000´s.
Here´s the interview on how the designs and Asian theme were born:

I thought that since a lot of those skis were also pretty popular on this forum, the story might also be of interest to some people.
Cheers,

Very good article...
Some iconic ski's in there.
I like it when companies keep a ski in their line up (such as the Gotama or Mantra) for several years.
Nothing worse than changing the names every year just because they can.

Thanks, the reason for the article was first purely my own interest on the story. It´s of course nice to see if it reaches some other people who find it interesting as well.
I agree that it can be a bit confusing when a manufacturer changes the models in their line-up too often.
