Colder than a witch’s tit out there.

13 and dropping here. We only got as high as 22 today but the sun was out and it is dry so "thank-goodness for small favors".
Soooooo glad I had the insulation redone in the house this year. Barn cats all have killer new beds that have emergency blankets sewn in them under a fleece lining (those silver blankets that reflect body heat back onto you). Horses are sportin' warm blankets and everyone has heated water buckets. Hunkering down here in EWA.

Well crap, guess it's just balmy here in EWA and to think I was going to put the polar fleece sheets on the bed tonight. Sounds like you all need them more than me.

My thermometer says - 32C at the moment. My walk home was sporty this evening.

As a former Minnesnowtan, I'm getting a good chuckle listening to the local Spokane news folks talk about "a cold 6 degrees F". Christ, you pussies; we grilled salmon tonight. OUTSIDE. The HORROR!

-17 overnight, but up to -6 this morning. Sun's out for the first time in a few days, but there's nfw I'm getting up on the roof to clean the panels, and the sun won't do shit to the snow with an all day high of 0 or whatever we get today. Generator sounded annoyed when I woke it up this morning.

I made the same mistake when I ordered my truck when I moved up here... Got the block heater, not realizing of course that it draws 15a... I could run it off the generator, but starting one engine cold to save starting another engine cold doesn't seem worth it. I bought a honda generator from costco, and will return it when it dies. And I have a lifetime warranty on the truck. When the engine quits, I get another one for free..

We might see lows around 0* but the highs have been close to 20 so not bad at all. The part that sucks is we rarely see snow here with these weather patterns.
