The weight is about the same if it's the same construction that they used on the vw katana. I'm still confused as to why the construction is so weird and complicated for a weight loss that is pretty easy to achieve.

Just saw the 3. Pretty funny reading the specs on it.

edit: and plum is not present... or at least i did not find them.
Plum is at ISPO... With a split board binding. But single planking is gibberish to me. Can take pics tomorrow if anyone wants.

I'm 35# lighter than you, but I found the K2 Hardside (98 underfoot) to be a great do-it-all ski my first season in the bc. I wouldn't think you'd *need* anything wider. Besides, if it's really nuking, you'll probably want to ride lifts.
Interesting, they must have made the Hoji heavier starting in 2013/14? The 2014/15 catalogue linked shows a 186cm Renegade @ 2270g and 187cm Hoji @ 2260g which are the numbers I was going off.

I'm still undecided on what ski I want to go with. My current "touring" (aka sidecountry) rig is OG 186cm Renegades with Guardians which is fine for farting around near Whistler but it sucks on longer days. Been running Dukes/Guardians for 6 seasons and am ready to move into something lighter as I get into bigger days away from the resort. Just not sure if the Raven is enough ski and think I might be happier with Hojis. The weight savings and stride improvement on the bindings/boots would be a massive upgrade already.

Anyways I'll end the thread drift here

Go Dynafit before trying to drop weight on skis. Way more important in my experience.

No sign of that spotted ski that Carston has with him in Japan.. Weird..

Underworld looks interesting, I would have liked to see a 190/192 cm version because of the tail rocker.. Ghost train has some new rocker profile..

Wow, Lines Magnum Opus coming in at 3900g for 148-124-146? That's stupid light!

The Stockli Pro 115 looks interesting.

Moment really needs to make an adult version of the Carson camber profile. 90-100, high 20s side cut. That's what the new Tahoe should have been.

I would imagine it may have something to do with the fact that they actually want to sell the ski.

Thats what happens when you build a ski out of balsa wood and flax.

I don't remember where the Plum booth was-- but it was really small, like tiny, and down one side. Sorry I didn't see the message from this thread to take pics earlier today... not sure I'm going back for a third day tomorrow. I don't know jack about snowboards, or bindings, but I saw a bunch of carbon and metal.
