Short clip on the Blizzard Spur and Technica. In Swedish but you can see the rocker profile. The guy says it is full woodcore, isocore to save weight, bamboo and beech(?). Pure powderski.

Sweet looking ski. If only they would use more durable bases.

Can the mods or OP pretty please edit a question mark into the thread title? It's driving me insane.

I have been skiing my 191 Billy Goat franken tour models I got from you in the prototype sale you did Iggy.
Full review coming after some actual soft snow skiing.
But I can't believe you would drop this ski, it is amazing.
Although I guess my ski is a bit more like the regular BG which is staying.

LIke I said above...I could still change my mind. If I did save a tour-variant from the chopping block, the BG would be the only one. That said, there is some stuff on the drawing board for 15/16 that would potentially bridge the gap between the two. More importantly, for 14/15, the Steeple 112 is based off of the Billy Goat platform, just a bit skinnier underfoot and with a shorten tail spacer modified to hold a skin, so I think those looking for a RES-touring ski are going to be happy with it as is.
Glad you are liking the BGs! Still my favorite skis ever.Seriously, this can’t turn into yet another ON3P thread....

Don't kill the cash cow man!
Still digging my BG 1911 tour sticks. The Tycoons are getting the most use so far this year and my Viciks are just waiting for better conditions(now) to push the machloony envelope. Sold my 09 186 BGs so I may have to replace it.watch out for snakes

Love the idea of a 112mm tour BG-like shape (better than a 118mm in my opinion). A 102 sounds interesting too - curious if it would satisfy my float needs. Any ideas on expected/target weight?

I have to admit with a 112 RES billy goat like ski then you wouldn't really need the BG tour.

I would love a lighter Hoji. Exact same shape, just lighter.

If ski companies didn't make new skis every year I wouldn't have to get new skis every year.

I like the new Hoji and Raven graphics, not feeling the Renegade although maybe it's better in person. Still prefer the OG Renegade (biased maybe) followed by the owl topsheet.
Waiting for final specs on the Raven still (weight) as I am eyeing it for my first tech touring setup and want a do-it-all ski. On the one hand I want to go as light as possible, on the other I want to have some float in powder and being 5'10 200lbs naked not sure ~123-102-1xx @ 184 will do it for me. Hoji 187 weighs essentially the same as my Renegade 186, but at least I'd save a ton of weight on new boots/bindings and have a more versatile ski for hard snow.

Hoji is spec'd at 1.2# lighter per pair than the Ren, which is definitely noticeable. Though, I'm surprised the Hoji isn't lighter—the pair I skied certainly *felt* lighter. Wish they made the Hoji in the same construction as the Ren at those weights!
I'm 35# lighter than you, but I found the K2 Hardside (98 underfoot) to be a great do-it-all ski my first season in the bc. I wouldn't think you'd *need* anything wider. Besides, if it's really nuking, you'll probably want to ride lifts."Alpine rock and steep, deep powder are what I seek, and I will always find solace there." - Bean Bowers
