I'm just catching the first season, I guess season two starts soon. Pretty bad ass so far, historically acurate from what ive read too.

Anyone still watching this? She stole the show tonight, shield maiden riding to the rescue, kicks ass on the battlefield, fucks like a champ, makes unselfish sacrifice for the collective. (Cooks and sews, too!)

So it's streamable on Amazon for free if you've got Prime. Watched the 1st show last night - seems pretty badass. Yes, the shield maiden wife is awesome.

Nice battle scene. Not as over the top gore & blood as Spartacus. But pretty good for basic cable. Too bad Lagertha decided to leave. I was hoping for a 3 way.

I'm having a hard time getting through Season 1. I really want to like it but the acting and screenwriting is pretty horrible. Loki and the priest are extremely annoying and Ragnar's brother is too much of a prick to be believable. On the plus side, the cinematography is pretty good and I am learning a few things about Vikings. If they would invest in some better writers and come up with a decent storyline, it could be watchable. Have things improved in Season 2?

just watched the execution. probably would have done just fine the rest of my life not knowing what a blood eagle is. nasty nasty stuff. good show but that seemed a little over the top.
