We've had several wind events this week... be safe. I'll be working until Friday... I'll let you know if I'm out Friday solo... the weekend we'll probably be doing the pass between with my daughter.

    Hey all,

If you're not doing anything tonight, come to the Wheeler Opera House and check out Drop In: Bloody Couloir. Free admission, $10 suggested donation. Raffle with a day of heli-skiing in BC as Grand Prize, Hot Air Balloon Trip for two as second Grand Prize, bunch of gear and restaurant prizes. 25% of proceeds to benefit Challenge Aspen. I'll be doing the intro, Jeremy McGhee doing a Q and A after the Show. Afterparty at Justice Snow's. See you there!

Shouldn't be an issue until Friday.. and you wouldn't see them there anyway.

I was skiing your neck of the woods two weeks ago. Hit two powder days and the mountains were nearly empty the whole time Jan 7-12.

X crowds are never an issue skiing. Getting past Buttermilk on HWY 82 can be and there won't be any free Highland's parking there Tuesday. Wednesdays, parking is free at Highlands.

Drove to Highlands today from the Vail area and back. There was a bit of X Games traffic on the way out. Right down the gut of the bowl was really nice, I'd never really skied snow like that. Almost like a 40 degree smooth groomer.

Tomorrow should be real nice, the heaviest stuff hasn't even shown up yet. I didn't make it out until 10 today and Ajax was pretty empty and skiing much deeper than the reported totals in some spots.

    Isn't that usually the case

The skiing is awful today. The snow kept getting on my topsheets and I couldn't breathe.
