K country was good today, 20 of new uber fluff on north aspects. We started hearing strange noises at ridge top which we determined to be coming from our skis and poles. Took us a while to figure out what was going on but when our poles and skis started arcing to each other we got the message and ran down the ridge back to treeline.

Great snow on the descent, sadly I skied most of it in walk mode due to the metal bar needed for ski mode engagement sheering off...which brings me to the question does anyone know if La Sportiva has a rep in Canmore or in Berta in general. Shitty time for broken gear...

Flying the Bluehouse colors in Western Canada! Let me know if you want some rad skis!!

try Vertical Addiction in Canmore, I think they carry Sportiva, they can probably point you in the right direction if not.

I had that happen to a pair of garmonts when skiing in chile. My bar broke at the Lower hole. I took them to a shop and drilled a new hole in what was left of the bar. (There really aren't any ski parts in chile, unless you have gear from the 80s). The boots were a little upright for the rest of the trip but would lock. Lou, in calgary, had parts for the garmonts. Not sure if it's the same type of system. Good luck.

~1.5hrs if the roads are dry. Trips up the Parkway aren't that much longer than driving from Canmore.

Not gonna lie and say it was pretty, but I skied 'er. My sluffs pulled out more snow and shit than I thought and made my intended exit mostly all exposed rock slab.

    Shit went bad....

Hey, now it's fixed! Let's lap that freeride zone again then bag that couloir

Shadam would be proud.. I think. Matt buried the skintrack 2ft deep with a big ass sluff, and hucked ~20 ft on Plums
