2013/2014 Canadian Rockies Thread
I think its about time we roll over into a new one. Season pass photo's with old dudes faces on them , leaves are starting to turn, cold nights and reading the new buyers guide. It's time. The thread was making ULLR upset anyways. i asked.
Here's to a new season! May we all get sendy and many faceshots.Webisodes, Blogs, Words and Photos all right here-------->www.chasingsnowflakes.com

We've been getting low-single digit overnight temps the last week or so out in Irricana.
It's coming...
Oh, and I've now got two pairs of skis, and three pairs of bindings sitting in my office so far, purchases from this summer.

a little off topic but hey its 30deg today... anyone have beta re the Mtn Shadows mtb trails in Golden?
I've seen the map & am reasonably familiar with the where they are. Can I just ride past the rodeo grounds, go up 'Reflection Lake Trail' to the powerlines & then follow my nose from there? Are the trails directional?

I head in on the dirt road between reflection lake and the Mt 7 turnoff, to the start of Selkirk Slacker. Ya just do a quick pump up the gravel road from the parking and sweat a bit, then you're on a pretty fun singletrack that's basically flat for 5 mins or so, build the stoke up and then you're in the system with options all round.
Most aren't directional, but Roller Coaster and a few others you definitely don't wanna go up. Let me know when you're heading up, I've biked most of it.
