Report says one was going to be transferred to Calgary via STARS, but they are unable to fly, and he is too unstable to be moved by ambulance. Having worked emergency medical I can say that the tidbit of info, if accurate is opposite of alright. Shitty, hopefully that report is not correct and they are both ok. Nasty nasty place to get caught in a slide...milky way.

They were on their 3rd turn from the top when the entire face fractured. They both got caught up in it, and were swept top to bottom and thrown cartwheeling right over a cliff band. When everything eventually came to a stop at the very bottom, one was buried and one was on the surface. About 8 or 10 people assembled at the base and began digging. Sunshine Ski Patrol were immediately on the scene. Prayers to both. It was ugly.

Haven't been on the Board at all this year... that kinda season for me.
Was at SSV today for my B'day and skied great.
Left my beacon, probe, and shovel in the car ....maybe thankfully now.
Had an invite right around that time from another Calgarian on the chair too.
Hopefully these guys are ok. Sounds massive.
All the best to those involved and to the rescuers.

Hey my name is Kai and I'm looking for some spring skiing partners for touring, it would be awesome to go hit some couloirs or something. I am from invermere originally, living in Fernie right now but may move back soon. I'd like to do some up in kindersly-Sinclair pass if there's enough snow, around Pedley or this little bowl off the north side of the chisel maybe. Could go up to jumbo too but I don't have a sled. Lots of areas around Fernie, I'd like to check out around scookumchuck too. Haven't toured around banff much but I'd like to aswell. Hit me up - skibum632@gmail.com , I'm down for anything

An amazing Bluebird pow day at the Lake with the RMF crew and a few special guests! It's still skiing like mid winter on the back, such a rad day!
Flying the Bluehouse colors in Western Canada! Let me know if you want some rad skis!!
"He is god of snow; the one called Ullr. Son of Sif, step son of Thor. He is so fierce a bowman and ski-runner that none may contend! He is quite beautiful to look upon and has all the characteristics of a warrior. It is wise to invoke the name of Ullr in duels!"

Headed up to BC for a month this Thursday for some skiing and fishing. Wondering what websites and sources y'all use up in Canada. In the states I rely on NOAA weather for solid point forecasts. Any beta would be much appreciated. Thanks
to ski another day

toured around the spilly glacier area on the weekend. original plans were to get to kingsbury hut but the weather turned bad while waiting for another party to gain the ridge above the glacier which turned us around on Sat.
had to settle for mellow laps of 20 cm up high to boiler plate pano style at the bottom....

I had a good day out with the boys ripping mach-looney corn laps at Pano on Sunday. Took a bit longer than expected to soften. There are a few bare spots on natural runs lower mountain, but overall Pano's snow has held up well for closing this coming weekend.
Bike trails are steadily coming into shape, some trails are dry but still lots of deadly greasy clay sections on higher/shadier trails.
