RIP Kya. Very nice tribute.
In the many years I have been here, everytime I see your username I remember fondly my favorite dog ever, Kaya. A black Great Dane. She was the best.
Hope Kaya welcomed Kya over the Rainbow Bridge."boobs just make the world better really" - Woodsy

Excellent tribute. Sincerest condolences on her passing; Time doesn't seem relevant to the love shared between packmates. Thankfully the pain of their passing eventually yields to bitter-sweet memories.
Just coming up on a year since the passing of my avatar Starke. I wasn't able to reach my desired peak to scatter his ashes last fall due to the imminent arrival of my daughter. It will be a somber time to visit that past favorite haunt of ours this coming Sept.

Great tribute and a wonderful look at a loving life. My thoughts are with your family, but keep remembering all of the smiles she gave you, and all of the smiles she will KEEP giving you.

We appreciate all of the support. This place is awesome. I think thats why I made the thread, because the TGR community gets life. We tend to see things through the same lenses, goggles or not. And because of that, our dogs do too. I don't doubt for a second that most of you share the same connection. My positive vibes go out to all the others who posted about their own loss.

don't know what to say
maybe looking at the trash picture is the best, at the time I'm sure you (I'd be) was super pissed, you want to strangle the dog, now you look at it and can't get over how great it was, how the dog is just sitting there happy as can be, almost proud of the hard work it took to search through the trash, the attitude that you shouldn't have left me home alone today, you didn't take me somewhere on saturday like you were suppose too, this is what you get............
my dog is 15, fully retired from skiing and going to work everyday, too look back at the days of living in the woods, skiing big lines, working and traveling all over the state together, the damn dog has lived a fuller life than most people

Full life lived indeed. What I realized when my white faced boys were gone.....
I/We lucky to have them! 1.5-2yrs later and still hurts.
Breaking in a new one right now. Man I miss having an old dog.Feeling anxious, a little paranoid.

I always try to ladder them. I find it much easier to train a young dog, if you have an older one that already does what you want,
My old guy is really sick today.
