    Limelight Bowl Park City

Anyone around that has skied or knows anything about the Limelight Bowl which is just outside of Park City resort?????

I know that it is east/northeast facing and the steeper sections of it are 35-38 degrees.

I've skied it. IT holds snow pretty good up top, but the lower section is very low and I'll bet this weather has had it's toll on it. We used to access it from the the resort and then duck back in just above the king con lift. Don't know if it still is, but PCMR used to do limited ac work in there.

Limelight is on Pinecone Ridge and can be seen from both King Con Chair lift and Silverload. It is the next one over on the ridge from homelight bowl but is considered out of bounds by the resort. So...is it possible to access it by skining up the Spiro Trailhead?????

I'm not familiar enough with the spiro trail to know. Spiro starts at the old mining building right? IF so, you would have to cross the resort and start heading up through the trees, probably breaking trail. There is a trail up there, but I have no idea where it starts. If you go, start early so that the resort people and private property owners don't catch sight of you, I think most of the bottom area is private property.

Check in with the folks at Jans or white pine touring (are they still around?), they may know more about it

Yea, an early start would be needed to avoid confrontations. It would be better accessed from the top of the Thanes neighborhood and then skin up Iron Mountain and along the ridge. Actually it's about the same distance.

Funny that Jans bought White Pine Touring eh? White Pine Still exists and is in a new location on Bonanza - the old location on main street is now a restaraunt - pretty lame that Main Street lost a nice character piece like White Pine
