We are going to offer discounted ticket for Friday and Saturday, in honor of our veterans, for $30. We have our lift inspections both days, so we'll be open to the public from 10/11 to 3pm. Then 9am to 3pm for the rest of the season - early July if the snow holds out.
This is a low snow year on the Beartooth, some come get it sooner than later!!!
More information at the website listed above. Let's keep summer skiing alive on the Beartooth!!Click image for larger version.

4.5 hrs from Jackson. not including the slow-downs for bison jams in Yellowstone's Hayden and Lamar Valleys. ;-)
seems like a long haul for day trip. nearest lodging is in Cooke City?

Do it. That is classic weekend warrior roadtrip distance here depending on where you are in Alberta!

Drive at night, can be done in around three hours. Tons of camping areas, Lilly lake is an awesome camp area. Pretty much lived on the B.Tooth plateau in the summer while living in Cody. Fucking love that area.

Seriously. If 4 hours is "too far" to drive for skiing I'm sending all you fucking twats skirts, training bras and "heavy days" tampons to shove in your gaping, blood-gushing vaginas. 3 hours is a no brainer. How fucking spoiled are you westie asshats, anyways?!?? Get in the fucking car and go hit this shit before I am forced to insult your various manhoods further. This shouldn't even be a question.

It's 34 hours nonstop from my doorstep but I'm seriously considering taking a train/bus there as I can get bus tickets for free. Anybody from the EC wanna make a pilgrimage with me??? TBatt?? TC?? Bueller???

I'd probably have to take a few days off from work which may be tough to wrangle, but I have always wanted to go to beartooth. If anybody is seriously interested, hit me up!

And good times were had by all...especially at the Snow Creek Saloon. That place can get bananas. I LOVE the Beartooth Pass area. It's not just worth a "4.5 hour drive", it's worth a drive across the entire continent! Place is surreal. Hopefully there's enough snow this year to do some laps off the headwall down to the hwy.

It took me about 3.5 hrs from Bozeman going that route. Again, the trick to traveling through the park is to travel at night, virtually no traffic or patrol.

It's just a musing for now but like I said it's just time as I can probably get some bus tix for free but I'd need to research the specifics just to know what to ask for. It's on my list too for sure so if you're serious hit me up and we can figure out when/if it could work. Also there are a bunch of "what ifs" we would need to nail down like where to stay and how to get there from said bus terminal. If we could work that shit out, I'd totally be in.

Might be a good case for a $59 each way southwest ticket as well...

The Third Annual Beartooth Summer Session is set to occur Wednesday, June 5 2013 to Sunday, June 9 2013. The event will take place at Beartooth Basin Ski Area (formerly Red Lodge International Summer Ski Camp) and the surrounding backcountry.

ON3P Ski Company and other sponsors will be working with the ski area to host the session and build a quality terrain park and competition course. The event, terrain park, and ski area will be open to the public as well as invited riders and photographers.

In addition to the world-class, lift-accessible summer skiing, the surrounding area has superb backcountry access, including day long tours, boot packs, and car shuttle laps.

On Saturday, June 8th, a big-mountain/slopestyle competition will take place at Beartooth Basin. Competitors will take top to bottom runs and be judged on style, technique, amplitude, and consistency.

ON3P will have their fleet of demo skis available for free public demo. Tickets to the ski area are $45 per day, but will be discounted to session attendees for $40 per day. Half day tickets will also be available for $35

Spoiled Rotten I am. I never have to drive more than 45 mins to hit great shit; bc or resort. SERIOUSLY! ;-)

after reading about the events, the 7 & 8th are my dates to hit BTBasin.
"ON3P will have their fleet of demo skis available for free public demo." Oh yeah!

6PM drive thru Y Park should put me at Cooke City by 9PM for a cabin bed and Montana lager.

Yes, great camping in NF on either side of the Pass. The lake at the base of Beartooth Mtn (east-face) is a great spot. prolly snowed in still.

? beta. We are in our 3rd day of on-again off-again showers at 6500ft (Grand Teton NP). What is happening at 10,000 ft and above at BTBasin?
? On Sunday the road was still closed going from Y Park over Beartooth Pass. Open now?

    10% LESS !!!

Hey MTL_ripper, I just saved you 340km. From your part of the World to Beartooth is down to only 3160km via a 2km detour to pick me up in Ottawa.

Okay, I'm totally unmotivated to work today.
