2/28/05 - 3/4/05 - Mo, Tu, Th, Fr - Mt Batchelor OR
Took a week off to get some decent runs in since the whole season in WA is shot. Got an AWESOME vacation (Except for a lack of new snow to play on).
Batchy is offering $10 off for a WA state season pass and we also took advantage of the Shell coupon for a 2 for 1 on Tuesday.
Snow was pretty good condition-wise. Decent coverage and quality on-piste and the groomers did an excellent job getting everything nice and even. Off the runs was a little thin in the windward areas but little pockets of soft slab could be found on the leeward side of terrain features.
Weather was very nice. All but one day was blue skies and scattered clouds, and that day was merely overcast (Summit chair clossed that day). Temps ran in the upper 20's first thing to right about freezing in the afternoons.
Crowd was very low - mostly it was ski up and load after a couple of chairs. Never noticed the hundreds of ski racers as they were waiting to make their runs on Thu/Fri.
