    MPC #104 Your Beach 5/3-5/13

I hate how Corona is trying to un-typecast itself as a beach beer, however I think the slogan "where is your beach" provides a good MPC theme.

Don't feel limited by a dictionary's definition of beach:

    1. an expanse of sand or pebbles along a shore.
    2. the part of the shore of an ocean, sea, large river, lake, etc., washed by the tide or waves.
    3. the area adjacent to a seashore

Things that come to mind when I think of my beach: tranquility, geological beauty, nature's power, and often crazy relatives!

Contest length has two full weekends, and If all goes well, the next MPC could be up for the following friday with no down weekend. If you don't like it, have your tgr puppet win the contest and set the timeline to your own liking.

    RULES:
    1. Photos must be taken within the time period of the contest.
    2. You may submit 3 photos during the competition.
    3. The contest moderator will choose 5 photos to be voted on.
    4. The winner will get a happy feeling in his/her pants. (That is a rule by the way, not an option.)
    5. In the event of a tie, the contest moderator will have the deciding vote.
    6. Winner will be the contest starter/moderator for the next comp.
    7. The winner has 3 days to start a new contest or 2nd place becomes the new winner.

That is the spit that circles whale beach. Creek was center with Boaters' on the left. Just arbitrary naming while uploading to flickr.

    Some nice images

When I think of a beach,
I think of any place where people congregate to hangout in the sun,
take clothes off, enjoy a cold beverage, chilax...
Most ski areas that I have been to have one.
Some times it's at the lot's edge, like Arapaho basin.
Other times it's on a nice South facing slope like Lone Pine at Snowbird...
This one happens to be the top of chair 2 at Alpental, closing day, which also happened to be cinco de mayo.

I know this probably won't play well, but I took this opportunity to take a big pano for the first time. This shot is 113 megapixels, comprised of 9 shots and manually stitched together. Printing this in native resolution, the print would be 13' x 1'. Learned quite a bit today doing this one. Made some mistakes and am sure my next try will be better.

You can see a not-so-full resolution pic here... but bigger: http://www.flickr.com/photos/scottfi...n/photostream/

Don't worry, tits will be included in the TR.
