TR: Sonora Pass Solo Dusk Patrol, 4/25/13

Sonora Pass opened on April 24th this year. I loaded up my gear that night in preparation to do a recon dusk patrol the next day. After driving directly from work I arrived at the pass at 5:00.

I took this picture on the drive up - looking up at "No Name" Peak from the east side of Sonora Pass:

While conditions might not be optimal and as deep as a big winter, the snow goes all the way to the road (yes, you can ski it switch if you like.) and there are many good options right now.
