How come every single link I click opens a new tab?

Click the forums link from the homepage and the forums index opens in a new tab. Click a forum name in the index window OR from the dropdown list and the forum opens in a new tab. Click a thread, the thread opens in another tab. Click Post new thread, new thread window opens in a new tab. Every active link I've tried on TGR forums causes a new tab to open. Pretty soon I've got like 20 tabs open.

    WTF?

Not happening on any other website.

    Firefox.

Problem with the forum, not on your end. Something to do with the ads plugin or something. I'm sure someone is working on it.

Yeah I don't really mind it, I usually ctrl-click most links anyway.

Started last night, annoying as hell (every new page in a thread=new tab).

    Please fix.

Seems to be happening to everyone but me. Maybe because I don't turn my computers off or close my browsers...

that is a bit interesting. I'm 2 for 2, both machines open up new windows.

this was driving me nuts yesterday. i was convinced i messed with my settings somehow. no playing with my Firefox settings seemed to alleviate the madness.

Same thing in Safari, I also thought it was my settings and wasted a bunch of valuable internetz time fucking around with it trying to fix it.

It is interesting. Since I don't use Safari I wasn't aware this happened. So I opened Safari and sure enough it was. But with Firefox on two different machines that the browser hasn't closed for days, or at least since this phenomenon started, no problem-o's while others on firefox are having the problem.

wondering if they just pulled the plug on avantlink, even the sac [traditional] hyperlink won't open in a new window...

Just cleared cache/cookies then rebooted as I'm still experiencing it, but that was a no-go. Your SAC link opened a new window as well. Pretty much every single hyperlink on the site is an avantlink.com redirect. Just mouse over a link and see where it's taking you. Very annoying. Hope they can get it squared away soon.

Example: When I click on 'Reply to Thread', this is the underlying URL:

    Code:
    http://www.avantlink.com/click.php?tt=ale&ti=2017&pri=0&pw=20253&mi=11793&ctc=TGR Forum Link&url=http%3A%2F%2Fwww.tetongravity.com%2Fforums%2Fnewreply.php%3Fp%3D3917070%26noquote%3D1
It needs to be changed so that the link is:
    Code:
    http://www.tetongravity.com/forums/newreply.php?p=3917068&noquote=1
    Here's the clickable difference:

    Bad:
    http://www.avantlink.com/click.php?t...%26noquote%3D1
    Good:
    http://www.tetongravity.com/forums/n...7068&noquote=1

is anybody else experiencing what ^^^jgb is? I can't replicate what he's finding, when i hover over 'reply to thread' i see a direct TGR.com redirect, not avantlink. And clicking SAC just directs there on this same page.

Just restarted my browser again after posting that, and now it seems to be working correctly. Sweet!

Thanks for keeping the web dudes on top of this, Tye.

As always just blame the redhead.. We were working on linking the sweet SAC deal for you maggots and flipped the wrong switch. All should be good now, you may have cache issues for the next hour.
