Dynafit Stoke Ski for $319 seems to be a good deal.

Forgive me for being a snowboarder, but why are soul poles $180 MSRP? Bamboo = less costly (and probably more fragile?), so what's with the huge pricetag?

^^^for people who really really care about looking like they have a low carbon footprint.

Cause looking cool and acting green costs money don't ya know! I can't wait for fur to come back as a sustainable option for ski wear.

I bought the soul poles. Bamboo is cheaper but nice bamboo stuff seems more expensive now, case in point: http://boobicycles.com/
I think boo bikes (and the ski poles I guess) look sexy. Nothing to do with their carbon footprint for me as I get new poles about every 10 years so they could be made out of ivory and I'd still not be too worried about the environmental impact. We shall see how they hold up.

Damn, that looks like all she wrote. I don't go on steep and cheap very often but that TGR theme didn't seem too much different than their regular line up did it?

Haha, I sorta figured that was the case.
$35 is a great price though, would've definitely grabbed some if I skied. I love my BD collapsible poles for touring, always been jealous of skiers and being able to move around.

Ya I agree. I would have thought a TGR themed sale would be more like barrel-aged bourbon and spandex ski pants for gaper day. I was fixated on the airbag pack but I don't want the hassle of the ABS system when travelling.

Was tempted by the Stokes at that price even though I know nothing about them, as a ski to put tech bindings on. But then I'd have to shell out for tech bindings... and touring boots.
