    Tha grammys 2013

Kind of a surprise, didn't know they were gonna be on tonight. Does anybody still watch these things? Is it worth sifting through all the crap?

Better see some jack white and black keys! I love rap and hip hop too but I hope they severely limit its exposure. That shit sucks live!!

I'm sorry this thread was created. The antique roadshow has way better entertainment value. And less commercials.

Someone link up that Grammy thread from years back. I can't find it. It was platinum.

Thanks for the reminder. That was quite the meltdown.

Watched bit of the performances. Chuck D with LL, Z Trip and Tom Morello was decent.

Was this the official year of the fat chick or something? Adele, Miranda Lambert...Kelly Clarkson looked positively svelte in comparison.

Every time Adele talks I cringe. How can she sing so well?

Also, more Katy Perry. Well just her cleavage.

Yes, as long as we don't have to hear her sing.

I thought a couple of the performances were OK. 3/4 of it is assisted.. but whatever...

    Mumford and Sons was good
    JT was OK
That weird Bob Marley tribute was OK...
I fell asleep before the rest of it though.

Just a mirror on our culture.

I was pissed they cut off the performance at the end with Chuck D, Tom Morello and LL Cool J covering "No Sleep til Brooklyn" as an MCA tribute. WTF????

The Bob Marley tribute was good. But Rihanna shouldn't have been in the stage, she's simply a no talent attention whore. Bruno Mars (turns out this guy sing and play music unlike most pop stars), Sting and Marley brothers put together a worthy tribute to Mr. Marley.

She's hot and she's from the Caribbean. Good enough.

It just irritated me she sang a total of three lines. She was up there just to be up there.

Bruno Mars is actually talented... I am in concurrence with everything else said regarding that marley tribute. What Damien, Stephen, et. al have been doing musically I've enjoyed for the last 5 or so years (and Ziggy for longer I guess to a certain extent). I wish they were able to do another song though.

Didn't see MCA tribute, will have to find that and watch it. LOVE the beastie boys.
