Wanted: Room for rent and skiing partners in Anchorage
I just moved to Anchorage with my girlfriend and we are looking for some active folks to live with. We have looked at a lot of places so far and have not been real impressed. If you have a room or want to go in on a place together send me a message. We just want to live with some respectful fun folks to go out and adventure with and maybe have an intelligent conversation every once in a while.
No place? Hit me up anyway I am new to the area and would love to get to know some folks in the skiing, mountaineering, and snow hydrology community. I am a recently retired cyclist getting into guiding, patrol and snow hydrology work. So right now I have no daily commitments just looking for ski bums and a job...but hopefully not for too long!
Any suggestions would be awesome! I have joined the local mountaineering club and AMRG in pursuit of my new career path.
Cheers

Any backcountry experience? Gear? I'm always looking for somebody to tour with.

Yeah, I got my Avy 2 certification, WFR and mostly do backcountry. Right now I am better at going up than down but working on that. Cycling does not do much for ones skiing prowess. A few days at Alyeska should get me back up to speed.

Today was great at Alyeska. Tomorrow should be even better.
