    Skyver? Sidewall Plane?

    As I re-tool my ski tool kit, was wondering about these tools.
    Always wanted one, but never used one.

    I always just used a file to grind any excess sidewall down.
    I wonder if I could use one of these.

    Any thoughts re: yea or nay?
    If Yea, any brands or types to recommend?
    Is a square or round blade preferred?

    ill usually just throw a Panzer on whatever degree bevel guide im using and go for one pass...
