Exclamation Roadtrip to Chamonix & Verbier March 2013

    Hey there!

I´m planing to go to Chamonix and Verbier this season for the last 3 weeks of March and have no idea where it´s best to stay/shred.
I come from eastern Austira so i thought to hit Verbier first and then travel on to Chamonix...nothing fixed or planed yet.

Is it better to go by car or train?
Someone still in need of a room/shred mate?
Just need a place to shower and store gear, nothing special, a bed would be off the charts, if not a couch or a floor with a sleeping bag is enough
I´m a chilled out guy who loves snowboarding and the mountains in europe and is motivated in getting into mountaineering a bit more.

Please contact me if you´ve got any advice, tips or want to meet there and have a good time!

    cheers!

A search may help - there usually are about a dozen threads just like this one every season. Here are just a couple:

    Hey Dominic,

I have booked a trip to the Alps starting Feb 5th and going until I run out of money. Chamonix and Verbier are 2 spots that I really want to hit. I don't have anything planned except a week in Les Arcs. I will be traveling by train and hope to be around for the whole month of March. I am a bit concerned about finding hostels with open rooms. It seems like a lot of places are booked up, finding reasonable accommodation could be difficult. I am interested in meeting up though. I am a american looking to get into some more mountaineering and just enjoying what the alps have to offer.
