I know it's early to plan, but is anyone from SD area going up weekend of the 15/16? Preferably leaving after work Friday/early Sat, returning Sunday night? Also posted this on the hook up board etc etc
Want to head up that weekend (finally!) but sounds like the gf will need the car in town.
hutash - I could use a BAF ticket or 2

Fun day on the mountain, take a look...
Probably going to head over to Convict to see what’s up, the crest looked fucking ridiculous today and we are probably going to head out that way tomorrow. Let you guys know..."In a perfect world I'd have all 10 fingers on my left hand, so I could just use my right hand for punching."

Nice photos PW7!! They really make me want to ski this weekend. It makes me pumped just sitting at my desk. Hopefully the wind will keep things smooth for the weekend, looks like there was some snow to be had.
Way to get into Philippe's. How was it in there? It actually looks more filled in than I expected, amazing for this time of year. How was the exit?
Noids looked nice too, with some huckin' thrown in. Seems like a great day. How much snow would you say they got up high?"Have you ever seen a monk get wildly fucked by a bunch of teenage girls?" "No" "Then forget the monastery."

Nice photos, highanxiety.
Any word/photos on conditions around Dana Plateau? Is Powerhouse doable/worth it? I'm assuming lower V Bowl is dirt.

Hey I recently moved to LA, and will always be looking to share rides and ski this season. I'm fairly new to the forums, but my older brother, Atrain505, could vouch for me if your curious haha.
I'll be heading up this weekend. PM or write back if you would like to ski and/or ride. Thanks

Why, thanks! Been some great and photogenic skiing out there, but not necessarily at the same time...
Final run of the day yesterday. Lower Jaws bowl. Better skiing, poorer pic.
We found fairly significant wind affect in the newest (from Wednesday) snow, fwiw. We ran into Sue-the-avalanche-specialist on our way out of the Crest. She was scoping things, getting oriented, gathering data.

Was going to head up with the Wife but she has to bail due to some work stuff she has to take care of this weekend.....still thinking of making the trek thought...
So anyone from LA feel like driving up early tomorrow morning? I'm cool with driving. Short of finding some place to crash would probably just head back Sat. evening.

Camped Bishop Monday night before Mammoth lifts on Tues. Basin mtn looks filled in except toe of slope and up towards Wahoo snow. Depth is the question, as I didn't go all the way up into the buttermilks. Maybe call the gear exchange Bishop and see if they have a Back Country report or just poke around for fun. Would have liked to see Table Mtn, but I assume that will take later in winter to fill in plus I was running late and wanted to get some of Chair 23 before the winds.
Check this site may help. (South Lake)

boomer, any plans to drive up next weekend? I'd assume you're in SD.
Trying to figure out if I can catch a ride or if I want to try and scoop a cheapish flight to SLC. Ski bug hit me hard this week.
