I took a less traditional route today and put a stripe down June Mountain for old times sake. I may have made a mistake by the looks of Skeeze & Snowman’s shots but on the other hand I didn’t hear another human voice for the entire day, so...
The approach...
...
The line down (meadow skipping @ it’s best).
The views...
...
Yeah me!

mañana, leftovers @ it’s best.

I am going to be coming through mammoth and bishop on my way down to Joshua Tree from Tahoe just before and just after Thanksgiving. Does anyone want to do some BC or FC skiing, or ice climbing if it is in shape? PM me.

I need to go to Utah.
Utah?
Yeah, Utah. It's wedged in between Wyoming and Nevada. You've seen pictures of it, right?
So after 15 years we finally made it to Utah.....

Nice vid! Really makes me wish I had gone up even more.
Did you go into P4 from the top? It must have been some kind of a rock walk to get in there. The pic snowman posted shows some nice looking lines in the P3 area, and your video reminds me of what it feels like to get lines like that nice and fresh."Have you ever seen a monk get wildly fucked by a bunch of teenage girls?" "No" "Then forget the monastery."
"You ever hear of a little show called branded? Arthur Digby Sellers wrote 156 episodes. Not exactly a lightweight." Walter Sobcheck.
"I didn't have a grandfather on the board of some fancy college. Key word being was. Did he touch the Filipino exchange student? Did he not touch the Filipino exchange student? I don't know Brooke, I wasn't there."

No, I'm pretty sure I dropped in P3 (skiers left of the tracks in snowman's shot) and cut over to the P4 runout. All the entrances were thin and sketchy up top.

Fri 11/16 = 2-4″
Sat 11/17 = 6-8″

Tue 11/20 = 1-3″
Is this guy generally accurate?

^for sure^ I mean, you should take ALL forecasts with a grain of salt but the WeatherGuy is usually spot on. With that said...

I really wish I could hit it this weekend.
I don't have to be in the office on Wednesday, and I probably won't have to do too much on Tuesday, so I might take Tuesday off and power up at 4 am for Tuesday and Wednesday. It looks like it might be worth it.
jtran10,
might try the hook up sub-forum for a ride. If not, check out the Mammoth forums. Just go to the 'forums' link at the bottom left of Mammoth's home page. You might find someone there who is going up."Have you ever seen a monk get wildly fucked by a bunch of teenage girls?" "No" "Then forget the monastery."

Weather Guy is the real deal at the top of weather forecasting. He is the lead weather guy for PG&E. His weather war room looks like a newsroom. He donates his time to do those forecasts.
This is my 5th season working with him at MammothSnowman.com and now the new weather site we have MammothMountainWeatherGuy.com. Between the two of us you get a real pro and a spot on weather spotter who has been here for 30 years.
With that said, check out the new photo before you ski or ride the next storm:

I'm really hoping this storm is as predicted, i.e. classic Sierra base snow.
I will be up Tuesday and Wednesday, so enjoy it this weekend."Have you ever seen a monk get wildly fucked by a bunch of teenage girls?" "No" "Then forget the monastery."
