Seriously bummed about no more custom passes. Wonder why they stopped it?
Go that way, really fast. If something gets in your way, turn.

Prior to last week Solitude had no extras with their season pass, but when I picked up my pass last week I thought I'd ask. The girl told me she just got a notice a couple days before that we would also get 3 free days at Telluride, with no black out dates. That's over $300 worth of tickets, although I've yet to see it in print anywhere.

I just called the ticket office and was told that info is false. (The woman that answered has been there for years so I trust her info.)

Rats!!! That would have worked nicely for me, but the price on the Soli pass is still a good deal without benefits other than the shuttle pass.

    Yes, Free Days at Telluride!

The wife just talked to the administration at Solitude and with a full season pass you do get 3 free days at T-ride, plus discounts on lodging and food. First time ever for Solitude Pass bennies, and they picked a good one.

Even though the ticket office is apparently clueless, I'm thinking you may be right. Telluride lists 3 free days at Solitude on their list of pass "extras."

I called there again today and nobody could give me an answer. They sent me to Dave's voicemail, heh. I left him a message asking about it and my phone number, but knowing Solitude I doubt I get a call back.

In typical Solitude fashion they haven't said a word, Telluride just verified the 3 day thing on Solitude's Facebook page. No word from Solitude yet whether this is a Solitude only passholder benefit or if BCC passholders get the same benefit.

Since T'ride only mentions the free days at Soli, not both there and Brighton, maybe they want to get Brighton's buy-in first. Frustrating to say the least.

    It's official. From Sillytude's homepage:

Solitude is happy to announce that full season pass holders will now get to enjoy 3 free days of skiing at Telluride Ski Resort in Colorado. This includes the Big Cottonwood Pass, Everyday Season Pass, Student and Military, as well as Junior and Child season passes. Blackout dates: 12/26/13-12/31/13

I'll admit there's a little bit of butt-hurt on my part, but oh well. The back row is going to be a bit less crowded this season.

Now that a Solitude Pass comes with 3 free days at T-ride, the town is throwing in a little bonus.

    Slaag:

You know the building in that picture completely burnt down. They built a new "Baked" in the same place. All the same stuff, but more expensive. Still got a deck, but it definitely lost some of its funky charm.
