If you're talking about Powderhorn, it isn't high speed, it's the old low speed Moonunit chair. The lift company that installed the new high speed Moonbeam got tired of storing it for Solitude, they had to do something with it.

Today the parking situation seemed worse, but the mountain wasn't as busy as yesterday. The Summit had a bit of a line for the first few laps it was open, then it calmed back down. Honeycomb didn't open again today, if it opens tomorrow it should be deep.

PSA: If you have to park on the road, make damn sure you are to the right of the white line. If you are over the line even a bit, you will get a ticket. The Sheriff department made a lot of revenue this weekend.

Yeah, I am aware of the old life of the new PH chair.

Lets put in high speed quads, sell a shitload of season passes, not open any terrain and have marketing send off another one of those no Crowds ads to skiing mag.
is what I was referring to.

Today was a lot of fun ... I imagine tomorrow and Tuesday will be amazing once they start to drop some ropes.

We didn't get there til 10:00 (because of the canyon closure), but we managed to make our own spot in the top lot... I think we were the last ones in.

Spot on about the Summit chair- long lines for the first two runs, but then it wasn't more than a 3-5 min wait after that. Beats the hell out of the lines at the Bird though. There was PLENTY of deep snow to be found off that chair- I'll prove it later tonight with some pics of NPG and Donkey Punch in the deepter.
