Got one last year. Jump on it people. That pack is one of the best built packs I have ever used. Carries weight so well. I'm actually confused how it carries weight so well.
And I actually don't really see the need for a smaller pack. It compresses so well and thin. My everyday pack when I don't have a giant camera bag on my back. I also use it for filming on slope with a little camera insert to put my camera and a couple lenses in.
Can't say enough good things about it.

In case this info helps anyone else:
I just called MR to inquire about waist belt sizing. I wear 36" waist in most every kind of pants, and pretty much always expect to fit either L or XL in stuff that's sized that way. The person I spoke with indicated that MR is pretty true to the described size, with the exception that the Blackjack belt may run about an inch small. So if you're 38", you might want to go L. Another possible factor is that their recommended sizing assumes "normal" clothing, as opposed to a ton of bulky layers.
If anyone else has insight on this, I'd be interested to hear it.

Hey guys,
Ben here from el Rancho. As per the sizing question: Most of the time, we are pretty much right on in regards to harness sizing. There are exceptions though, such as wearing bulky clothes ALL the time. I'd suggest if you are on the fence with this one, go up a size.

Here are a couple pictures of the Black Blackjack I found online. Pretty sure the 1st one is the blackjack, not sure about the 2nd one but if so it looks like a couple changes have been made: Compression straps have metal fasteners instead of plastic clips and the logo placement has changed, maybe the loop too? Seems like the pack is all black stealth which I like very mucho!

Edited post, to correct my previously incorrect claims.
Black is like red, but with all the red changed to black. Looks real slick. I think it's exactly what skiwithcharlie has in his first pic.
