I am trying to remember what MMWG predicted last year, seams like he was way off.

After last year an average winter sounds great. It would be nice to have a base down before late January, although the mountain skied well once the base got there.

What's Mammoth need for a skiable base? 60"?

Don't know exactly, but hopefully it will stay cold enough to get some benefit from the snow.

Last year in October there was a 3 foot dump. Unfortunately, it warmed and everything went. That 3 feet, had it occurred just a few weeks later, would have really helped make the skiing decent until the late Jan storms finally came.
