12/13 - Mt Hood/Mt Bachelor
With the T-line opening back up today, actual precipitation, and TGR at the Baghdad Theatre tonight. I thought now would be as good a time as any to get this ball rolling.
Really looking to shred with more Mag's this winter.
I may even get back on a gay tray a couple times just to see what it feels like.
Thanks be to Puma and the GSA for the following links to keep you on the shred all winter long:
The freezing level is the key in the PNW. (Precip is usually not an issue) 3000 or below, and Skibowl is good. 4000 and below is good for Meadows.

Reserving my spot in this thread. The clouds are rolling into Bend and I'm getting pretty excited even though I don't expect to get anything more than tacky singletrack out of this system. At least it's a start.
This will be my first full season in Central Oregon after relocating here last March. I've been lurking for the better part of 3-4 seasons; my relocation has motivated me to start posting stoke and ski with some new people. Hope to make some turns with some mags this year. Fingers crossed that it will be a decent season.
Oh yeah, the Skyliner Ski Swap is going down in Bend this weekend: http://www.mbsef.org/events/skyliners_ski_swap/

Just started raining here in Bend. Don't expect much more than $$$ singletrack from this system. Nice to finally get some precip.

good call on grouping these together btw. Bouncing between the two was a pain in my lazy ass last year.

First year skiing at bachelor....got a midweek pass. Would love to ski with some mags up there. Also looking for backcountry buddies in Bend! PM me to touch base. Day tours and hoping to get at least a couple longer term missions. (Wallowas or Crater lake zone). Gotta keep the fitness up...training for alaska. Seriously, though.

Note to self: Never go to the early showing of a ski movie. Everyone seemed either half catatonic, or was busy wrestling their kid. Way to be stoked Portland.
or maybe I'm just so jaded after last years ON3P promoted show.Training for Alpental

Checking in for this year, my 2nd in PDX. Last year I got off to a slow start b/c of knee rehab. Looking forward to a full year and getting off Hood for a few weekend trips, Skibowl otherwise.

I've heard that Tombstone has some good skiing. I've also heard it can be variable conditions in winters without a lot of snow. Looking for ideas for both I suppose. Iron Mt?
Santiam Pass is an option due to that I will be at HooDoo most weekends shacking up in my brothers camper when he is there from Bend.

Stoked to be here in PDX, getting ready for a season in the PNW!
Slide-in truck camper so I don't have to screw with early morning Portland traffic - check. 2 bachy four packs: one for me, one for the wifey - check. Now....perhaps for a meadows pass, as well. hmmm.
