    Arrow Optrix Iphone vid case

I search the forum and I cannot find any reviews of this vid case. Anybody tried it?

Seems silly to me. Go-pro has better quality video, its own battery, and holds a huge SD card.

My iPhone is expensive, fragile, poor quality video, and I would like to have battery and memory left at the end of the day.

This product solves a problem I've never had.

The Gopro does not have better quality video. I have a 4S witch has 1080P. The frame rate might be better in the GoPro for slow-motion filming. Battery life might be an issue but I would have to compare with a friend’s GoPro. Define huge SD card. My 4S has 64Gb storage with seems to be sufficient.

As for fragile. this vid seems to illustrate that the Iphone in the Optrix is safe. Youtube list lots of testing in that regard.

If you already have a Gopro or a Contour then you don't and won't consider the Optrix.

Back to video quality, I have a friend that has a Gopro and we compared footage and the Iphone 4S video was better. No fisheye affect compared to the Gorpo unless you change the resolution. If I’m not mistaken the infomercial on the website posted in my first post was entirely filmed with the Iphone by TGR. That says something in regards to vid quality.

Just wondering if somebody here has tried it.

True. I used a gps tracking app last year at Snowbird during our trip to track our lines. Great tool.

The other bonus is that with the IPhone you can see and edit the vid on the fly.

On top of it you can surf and call. A smartphone is an awesome tool. For example I have full garmin with custom maps and navigon on mine. My contracting time tracking and invoicing is done through one app. Funny how most people get the latest and greatest to play angry birds.
