First edit of the year just hit the web. These guys continue to crush it.

That was awesome. It will probably be the best 25 mins of the entire day for me. In all honesty, with all of the snowboarding, jibbing & shitty music, I don't watch a ton of ski videos outside of the stuff MSP puts out. I've been seeing a lot of references to Nimbus lately, but didn't know what everyone was going on about. If more ski videos were like this I wouldn't just watch them, I would pay $$ to see them.

Nimbus crew kills it again. The direction they've gone with free features is a gift to the the skiing community, and I can tell you firsthand that they are still fully stoked on skiing, even resort days with friends and family. The amount of skiing and technology progression that their crew has contributed is amazing. Hope they keep doing this for a long time.

Japan is more affordable than you think. The best part is that you can hit the same spots you see on the movies! contact us with questions or quote requests. December and March are the cheapest time to come. www.bdlodge.com www.blackdiamondtours.com www.nisekoauto.com

Shhhhh......
Seriously- JP could use the economic boost.
There are hundreds of small mom/pop resorts around Japan that have sweet little mini-golf forests and empty double chairs that any crew could have a good time on. Yes, there are 3 famous places in the movies, but quaint is luxurious here. Dig a little, do a bit of research and you could set up a very private pow mecca trip totally off the radar. Just you, your crew, a few double chairs a day, and no scene. The entire country is mountainous with (arguably) the best public transportation system on the planet. I know train stations that ARE ski resorts-- no parking lots for cars. You can't even drive there. Get off the train, load a chair. Ski a forest alone.
Don't just come to JP, don't just mark it on your bucket list-- plan it extensively. This place is not only nuts with snow, but sooo unknown. I could invite all of you and never see you.

Fantastic. The night skiing segment was pure art. Great skiing from a group of good dudes who seem to appreciate what they are doing.

BUMP.
Alrberg En Route is on-line too already. Euro lift accessed goodness
That Roman Rohrmoser dude is kind of underrated. Has a bit "chargier" style than the other Nimbus guys (kind of driving the skis a bit more...maybe using not so centered stance/binding mount, I guess?) but still sends tricks out of pretty large features. Me likes."Average summit heights are around 1000m to 1200m but on the high glaciers of the main Lyngen Peninsula there are summits over 1400m with Jiehkkevarri being the highest at 1834m above sea level."

Agree that the Japan episode was better.... Am still glad to see some stoke from the 'hood though!
Curious when they were there, I'd guess in very late feb after the cold spell was over. Here's to hoping for a repeat of last winter!

For sure! I spent my first season here at Naeba / Goryo kind of places, and hated it. But then I found Madarao, Seki-Onsen, Rusutsu, (and of course Niseko). And I am sure that is just the tip of the iceberg. Seki has a double and a single chair, tons of slack-country and even more to hike. And a horny old resort manager who seems to hit on everyone and hire only attractive local girls...
