At least I hope it's back, winter that is, and it seems to be here in AK! Hopefully to stay. So here's a little photo journal of our recon mission today, Sept. 29 2012.

and making some short turns after a long walk

So what did we learn today? Well, first off... IT'S BACK!!! It looks stable, and sitting in a lazy boy watching snow-porn is no way to get ready for winter. Fruck I'm sore!!! But I can't wait to get back and actually attain that goal, and maybe some side trips to boot.

Hohes, It's Happening!!!

So my apologies to everyone not here now, because you should be! And Here is... somewhere where you are not apparently.

Anyhow, we went back out again today 10/01/12 and...it...was...AWESOME!!!

So we started back towards the same mountain/goal again

past more crevasses

and over more hills

where were we going again?

more distractions/lines for another date

(there's a skier and dog in there somewhere)

This picture will give you a clue as to where we are

Tahoe maybe? No, there's no snow there. The Fjords of Norway? Doubt it. Must be somewhere in BC or coastal AK...

Anyhow, bring on the POW/stoke!

1) We were not on, nor did we ski Jewel. Close though

2) I would go fishing this weekend. Our 3 day window is over and it's pissing out once again, with no end in sight.

3) Yes, Gabe is a great ski partner who does know what he's talking about! (and he does like to talk)
