    Looking for a bed/couch in Jackson Hole - 15 December - 25 January

    Heya!

Winters coming around and I'm planning on staying in Jackson for a couple weeks, before I return home (Europe), after having spend half a year in the US.
I'm looking for a place to sleep (condition of said sleeping-place doesn't matter as long as I don't freeze to death) for about 6 weeks, starting halfway through december. I'm willing to pay (of course) for sleeping+beer while I'm staying at your place.
Help a fellow mag out! Just looking for a shitty place to crash and some buddies to ski with.

    Anything will be considered!

    Thanks in advance!

Greg, are you saying that hanging out in Killington is superior to spending time in JH? I'm a lifelong VT'er and that sounds ridiculous. No wonder your site is so little used, with statements like that. Killington is not even the best hill in VT.
Even a Jong would know that.

i'd say that killington would be far superior to jh if it were getting pounded with snow while jh was high/dry during that period. i had a road trip west all planned out in 07' for 7 weeks. started snowing here in the east and didn't stop till the end of my vaca when 13+ feet had fallen. the valentines day blizzard was smack dab in the middle of it. furthest west i got was west virginny to hit a dump there, called my buddy in utah and he said, "not happinen", so i chased storms back home for the duration.

superior is where it's snowing. if we have another december 96', we'll all be laughing at you from the right coast

Well, East isn't an option, simply because it would be hard for me to get out there. Just looking for a place in JH (or similar)!

Thanks a lot for the replies - and the fish were awesome. Holy shit, those were big.

I would proffer that all things considered, the northeast is the clear choice. There is a plethora of cheap lodging options available, unlike Jackson Hole. The riding is quite challenging partly due to the variable conditions, and you will find that the conditions are actually more dependable and consistent to anything you will find out west due to the superior snowmaking. Also, the culture is superior, the history is rich and the "Norman Rockwell" factor is prevalent everywhere you turn. The terrain is truly fabulous, the partying is unmatched anywhere!(can you say "hot New Jersey Italian babes?") When you score your first Killington powder day in "Bearclaw Woods", you will be grinning from ear to ear, I promise you!. You will also find that the denizens of whatever community you choose will tend to be more educated and well-rounded, not your typical western cowboy types. You also will have fun pursuing the plethora of hot NYC/NJ and Boston "chicas" in their stretch pants, but I must warn you they are quite feisty and outspoken, unlike the laid-back western gals.
I would also like to take this opportunity to formally invite you (as well as all TGR Maggots , TTip-ers, NewSchoolers, Epicureans, jongs and lurkers alike) to come join our fun-loving but responsible bunch of snowriding aficionados at http://forums.alpinezone.com/. I think most all of you will find that our seasoned moderators "keep the bar high" by maintaining a sense of order and decorum, while encouraging quality discussion about our favorite pastime. I can assure you that "newbies"'(jongs) are welcomed with open arms by our entire community(unlike here at TGR), and there is no "hazing period" or rudeness tolerated. We also have superior bandwidth and response times on our 502g superfibre network as well as a state-of-the-art virtual blade server farm with 5000 terabytes of virtual disk space for your photos, blogs etc. It may take a small amount of getting used to, as we do have reasonable standards as far as language and image posting that are strictly enforced. The registration is easy and painless, and the rules will be explained in detail during the process. I will warn you however up front that registering an ALIAS is strictly "VERBOTEN", and something we have zero-tolerance with. If you are tired of the juvenile goings-on at TGR and Newschoolers and yearn for a snowriding forum that matches your maturity level, all I can say is: "Come join the fun"!
so shocked to see your sorry write up in here....NOT...go away d--bag
