    2013 Marker Duke hole pattern

Do the 2013 Marker Dukes with the wider platform have the same hole pattern as the 2012/past models?

The new Duke EFP has the same (fore/aft) hole spacing... BUT, all of the holes are simply spaced wider apart.
There is a new jig available. Or just use the paper template included in the box.

Baron will continue to have the old hole pattern for 2013 AFAIK.

My crystal ball wildly speculates that next year the Baron will move to the wider EFP hole spacing, because the Baron is seemingly always a year behind the Duke.

Can you verify this is true? Do you know the new hole width?

    Yes, it is true.
No, I don't have the templates in front of me but I think that the holes just widened out by like 5mm's across the board.

On the Marker website if you click on the 'wider screw pattern' icon on the Duke page you get linked to a picture that shows the new screws are spaced 46 mm apart as opposed to 36 mm with the old Dukes.

So yes, the new pattern seems 5 mm wider per side.

It does seem odd. I understand that there may be some performance reasons for making the hole pattern wider (maybe... still not convinced), but it makes it tough to upgrade from older bindings. If you wanted to mount them exactly the same, wouldn't those holes be a little close for comfort?

Good marketing though - New! Improved! Buy some new skis while you're at it!

    Not cynical, no, not me...

Put my feelers out for some of last year's stock today... not much out there, mostly S, L seems hard to find.

You can buy Barons. They are the same as older Dukes. Din to 13. Who really needs 16. Plus they are a better color scheme.

Wouldn't you think these will switch to a new hole pattern also, probably by next year?
