Another tragic story
The irony in this story is almost hard to believe. Really tragic and she was pregnant? It makes me wonder about what is really worth it? Where do you draw the line? Maybe I'm getting old but I sure am glad I'm not trying to push things too far these days.

Then again, you just never know. I guess when your number is up it is what it is. It can happen when you least expect it.

Sad for sure, but I have to question the need to perform one last jump with a child in the womb. Little to be gained, lots to lose.

This is sad. She shouldn't have jumped. I support my wife in anything she wants to do but if there is a child involved it would be different.

I think after 600 successful jumps it might be easy to not think anything of it.

It's the internet and avalanches are like boobies. People like to look at them.

Be careful kids. . .
"I, the undersigned,
shall forfeit all rights, privileges, and licenses herein
and herein contained, et cetera, et cetera . . . fax mentis
incendium gloria culpum, et cetera, et cetera . . . memo bis
punitor delicatum!" It's all there, black and white, clear
as crystal! You stole Fizzy Lifting Drinks. You bumped
into the ceiling which now has to be washed and sterilized,
so you get nothing! You lose! Good day, sir!

I started to write a reply, and then erased it as any debate on this issue is fruitless. I can only hope that Wioletta weighed the pros and cons of her actions before making the jump and thought the consequences to be small, and therefore, not putting her unborn child at undo risk. Again, it's sad it happened. But as we all know, shit happens.

No, I would love to though. I did three three tandem skydives last winter and I was eager to continue my training but I also wanted to ski powder and buy a new mountain bike so with limited funds I had to cut off some plans. Maybe in the near future I'll get back after it but life at 37 seems to becoming more and more complicated. Do you?

3 knee surgeries in the last year has kept me grounded, and now I don't know if I am going to get back in to it. It is amazing and everyone that does it knows the risks and accepts them.
