Cheeta ski racks
Who has used the cheeta metal ski brackets for mounting skis to their sled? Seems like the best option, very simple, but why oh why do they charge $250 for a couple hunks of metal? Is it really worth it?

No one uses thes things?
Can anyone recommend a more affordable option (aside from the ghetto homemade setups I've been messing with for the past couple seasons)?Do what you like, Like what you do.

If you can weld or fabricate things, you can do better, but is the effort worth it for $250? I spent a lot of time and effort to build my rack, but I enjoyed the effort, and the end result

They are awesome, spend the money and you don't have to worry about messing your skis up or losing one on the way home/up.
I tried a few different homemade ones and they will always fail.
Disclaimer: if you are only going to be using the sled for trail riding/skin access you can probably get by with a home made job but if you are charging pow and trees on the sled etc.... I would go with cheetah for sure. The dime big is very usefull as well and well worth the extra cost.www.skevikskis.com Check em out!

Chettah has the best sled ski rack period. If you have the money spend it. Plain and simple.
