Schweeeeeeeeeeet
I need to go to Utah.
Utah?
Yeah, Utah. It's wedged in between Wyoming and Nevada. You've seen pictures of it, right?
So after 15 years we finally made it to Utah.....
Thanks BCSAR and POWMOW Ski Patrol for rescues

Easy now, I was out in my boat this afternoon. Surprising how low the snow level was here in Vernon given that it was 30c on Sat and will be close to that on Thurs!
Still pretty cool to wake up to a 4000ft snow line this morn.www.skevikskis.com Check em out!

The Interior is between the Coast Mountains and the Rockies. Most specifically, the Interior mountains are the Columbia Mountains, which is comprised of the Monashee, Selkirk, Cariboo and Purcell ranges. This thread covers the resorts and backcountry in the area, except Kicking Horse, which is in the Purcells but lumps itself in with the Rockies for marketing purposes.
Here's a nice map for you:

Kimberley and Pano are also in the Purcells, but we consider them part of the Rockies scene.
For marketing purposes, the Kootenay Rockies Tourism organization even stretches that definition to include Revy, Whitewater, Red, etc.
No wonder people are confused by how we Canadians split up our ski regions!

If it's cold & windy, it's the Rockies. If fresh, deep pow is abundant, it's the Interior.

I like to think of it as the goldilocks zone.

I sort of use the dominant license plate in the ski hill parking lot to determine which zone I am in. Red plate in rear - Rockies. BC blue and white dominate is interior. A mixed bag of canuck and american for the Whistler and north shore Van hills.
The backcountry hillbillies may or may not have a plate at all.

Thanks for the enlightenment. If I had one place to spend a winter skiing, it would be where you guys hang out.
