are go pro or contour still selling their NON HD cameras really cheaply somewhere?

Truckers are looking for on board cameras in case of an accident and I'm just wondering if contour or gopro are making non hd cheap cameras still. Is there a better option? I've seen all the Russian videos from on board cameras... anyone know what they use? I'm sure those are dirt cheap. In any case, looking for a good, doesn't have to be HD camera for truckers to put on their dash. TIA.

check ebay. I don't think they are actively making them anymore.

    I've got a non-HD VIO POV 1 that I'll sell cheap.

I think the Gopro HD (original) should be pretty cheap, with the HD2 being out for a year now.

If you're looking ultra-cheap, then my brother bought one of those keychain camera things. It is the form factor of a key fob for unlocking your car, there's a pretty big internet following on them, around 20 bucks for them.

Not really interested in one or two of them, but rather something truck stops can stock for drivers to buy, or for different trucking outfits to buy that they can put on their dash and record a day or two worth of driving, maybe a week.

Just FYI - the old ContourHD is utter shit compared to the Contour+...especially for skiing/snow sports. I had to use ND filters on the old one to help with over exposure of the snow. With the +, never had to use a filter all last season. You can also add the wider angle on the + compared to the HD, bluetooth, etc

One of the guys I work for has a dash camera that records everything - kind of looks like a fuzzbuster. Not sure if that's any help, but they definitely manufacture them.
