Praxis Freeride mounting point
Anyone have an opinion? It is the current model.

I think it really depends on the year. Keith started with a suggested mounting point that was farther forward than many people liked, and has subsequently moved the suggested point back in response. Searching should turn up a few of the old threads.
EDIT: just to clarify, I mean when people say +1 or -1 in relation to the divot or line (because that's moved over the years).Last edited by pisteoff; 09-06-2012 at 04:50 PM.

Current model, I would say right on the recommended line.

I like Keith's old recommendations better (mounting a couple cm forward).

Absent input from Keith, I'd go with the mark. Which is in fact indicated by a punched dimple on the left sidewall of each ski.
If you do ping Keith and get guidelines for going forward or back on the current ski, I suspect posting that info up would be appreciated by others pondering the same...

194 on the mark works well for me (6'2" 185 lbs)
I feel your pain about knowing where to mount.....in all these threads.Last edited by Jim S; 03-09-2013 at 02:33 AM.

On the mark as well. Still can't find a speed limit for this ski.

From on the mark for the 194, thinking -2, I think with the tip rocker and flatter tail you end up well in front of the sidecut mounting on the mark.
They just feel far to lose for the design of the ski, I want a charger, and they are more smeary than my Scott P4's (which may be the greatest ski ever made)

Mounted my 184s at the dimple. They feel great to me there.

Will likely end up with demo jesters on them. Will let you know what I find out as I can play until my heart is content.

Yeah, really surprised how smeary they are in pow. And they're so quick through untracked trees. Gotta say that I really like it too. Don't know how I'd feel about giving that up.
On anything firm, and in chop, I feel that I'd rather be back a bit to get over the tips more (the old fashioned way).
I agree that at the line they don't feel like chargers - but maybe that's just my old-skool style... or lack thereof.
Anything to report yet?
