I emailed everyone in the previous group buy and they were all holding. Positive reports from one and all. Otto said group buy will be on again this fall.

I would like to get in on the group buy as well, probably for two packs...what time last year did people start receiving theirs?

depending on ship date, I would also pull the trigger on one. otherwise I'll be buying a RAS 30L or TNF in the coming month.

Having got in on the late season buy it seams that MR tends to have stock on hand and when they don't they can build a pack and ship it out in a reasonable amount of time. The pack rocks. My only regret was not getting the optional top lid (no airbag) for hiking.
I don't work and I don't save, desperate women pay my way.

I emailed MR on the status of their 20-25L airbag yesterday, but I haven't heard back yet. It'd be awesome to do a group buy for both the Blackjack and the smaller version.
I would say you can pry my blackjack from my cold, dead fingers, but that seems a little too much like foreshadowing..."Alpine rock and steep, deep powder are what I seek, and I will always find solace there." - Bean Bowers

Working on it-went well last year and love mine. Had it in AK and while it's a
big pack and not cheap, was much more comfortable than the Float I also had.
If doable, should launch around Oct 1.Life of a repo man is always intense.

I actually asked MR a few days ago about a ~30L pack and they said "We're prototyping a smaller bag but it wont be released until next season. We're hoping to launch the protos at OR/SIA..."

Definitely would be in for a group buy if it goes through. What's the possibility of this happening again?
